Zefra Mythical Beast Deck Link Format May 2018

An unique archetype that also belongs to 5 other archetypes. Pendulum based archetype that will give many interruption to your opponent. With help from Darkwurm and Mythical Beast, Zefra will give more interruption plus faster combo to make a strong board. This is it : Zefra Mythical Beast Deck.

About Zefra Archetype

Zefra (known as セフィラ Sephira in OCG) is an archetype consisting of Pendulum Monster that also belongs to 5 other archetypes : Ritual Beast, Tellarknight, Nekroz, Shaddoll, and Yang Zing. Each member have a Pendulum Scale of 1 and the other having scale of 7. The only exception is the boss monster, Zefraath, that has Pendulum Scale of 5. But Zefraath has Pendulum Effect that can change his own Pendulum Scale while adding Zefra monster from Deck to face-up Extra Deck, providing resources while also assisting on Pendulum Summon. In Link Era, his monster effect isn't very help, but with only his Pendulum Effect, Zefraath will give a big help to this deck.

Zefra also have a good support, like Oracle of Zefra that give advantage from various way of summon, Zefra Providence as main searcher and protection for Zefra cards, Zefra Divine Strike as main disruption, and also Zefra War for destroying opponent's card and can even be activated from your hand. Zefra also get a new Link Monster, Zefra Metaltron, that has similarity with Metaltron XII, the True Dracombatant. But this Zefra Metaltron don't have any "True King" or "True Draco" in his name, so technically Zefra Metaltron isn't a part of True Draco or True King archetype. Zefra Metaltron has 3 Link Arrow that pointed down, so this will give so much space for monster from Extra Deck. This monster also has nice effect that can banish until End Phase 1 monster from each side of Field that summoned from Extra Deck.

Zefra Mythical Beast Play-style

Using double Mythical Beast and Darkwurm to give a free monster for Electrumite plus give a scale 0 Pendulum card, also with Zefraath to "search" the missing combo peace, you can summon monsters with level from 1 to 6, which is the most monster from this deck. Combo #1

Cards needed : Zefraxi + Zefranui + Zefraath

1. Place Zefraath and Zefraxi in Pendulum Zone
2. Use Zefraath's effect to add Zefracore from Deck to face-up Extra Deck, and Zefraath's Pendulum Scale will change to 7
3. Pendulum Summon Zefraniu from hand and Zefracore from Extra Deck
4. As Chain Link 2, use Zefracore's effect to Special Summon Zefraxi from Pendulum Zone
5. As Chain Linik 1, use Zefraniu's effect to add Zefra Providence from Deck to your hand
6. Use Zefracore and Zefraxi as material to Link Summon Heavymetalfoes Electrumite
7. Use Electrumite's effect to add Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron from Deck to face-up Extra Deck
8. Use Electrumite's other effect to destroy Zefraath, and add Odd-Eyes Synchron from Extra Deck to your hand (you'll also get bonus Draw)
9. Activate Zefra Providence to add Orale of Zefra from Deck to your hand
10. Activate Orale of Zefra and add any level 4 Zefra monster from Deck to your hand
11. Place level 4 Zefra monster to Pendulum Zone
12. Normal Summon Odd-Eyes Synchron
13. Use Odd-Eyes Synchron's effect to Special Summon level 4 Zefra monster from Pendulum Zone and immediately use them as material to Synchro Summon Stardust Charge Warrior
14. By treating Stardust Charge Warrior as chain link 1 and Orale of Zefra as chain link 2. Put Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring on top of your deck then draw it
15. Use Stardust Charge Warrior and Zefraniu as material to Xyz Summon Photon Strike Bouncer

1. Activate Dragon Shrine to send Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from Deck to Graveyard
2. Use Darkwurm's effect to Special Summon himself from Graveyard, the use the other effect to add Supreme King Gate Zero from Deck to your hand
3. Place Mythical Beast Master Cerberus in Pendulum Zone
4. Activate Master Cerberus's effect, destroy himself to add Mythical Beast Jackal King from Deck to your hand
5. Place Jackal King in Pendulum Zone
6. Activate Jackal King's effect, destroy himself to Special Summon Master Cerberus from Extra Deck

13. Use Gottoms's effect to Tribute himself and discard 1 card from opponent's hand
14. Use Odd-Eyes Synchron's effect to Special Summon Gate Zero from Pendulum Zone and immediately use them as material to Synchro Summon Cloudcastle
15. Use Cloudcastle's effect to Special Summon XX-Saber Gottoms from Graveyard
16. Use Cloudcastle and Gottoms as material to Xyz Summon True King of All Calamities
17. Don't forget to set Zefra Divine Strike on your Field

Tips #1

Always treat Zefranui's effect as Chain Link 1 if possible, so your opponent can't respond to this effect. And you can freely search for disruption card like Zefra Divine Strike or Nine Pillars of Yang Zing, or Zefra Providence if you control Mythical Beast monster.

Tips #2

Zefraath is only needed for his Pendulum Effect, so don't try to use Zefraath's monster effect to summon this monster, because Zefraath will occupied you Extra Monster Zone, so you can't summon other monster from Extra Deck even if you can Pendulum Summon twice, unless you using Zefraath as Link material.

Tips #3

If you summon Stardust Charge Warrior while you control Oracle of Zefra, always treat Stardust Charge Warrior as Chain Link 1 and Oracle of Zefra as Chain Link 2. With this you can easily add any monster that you like, including Hand Traps.

Tips #4

If you don't have planning to use Zefranui as Synchro, Xyz, or Link material. You can use Zefranui's effect to add Nine Pillars of Yang Zing instead of Zefra Divine Strike or Zefra Providence. Because Nine Pillars will destroy Zefranui during effect resolution and will give you other chance to get Zefra Divine Strike or Zefra Providence.

Zefra Mytical Beast Key Cards

Key Card #1 Zefraath

The only monster that you won't summon. But his Pendulum Effect will "search" the other Zefra peace and you can Pendulum Summon almost all monster from this deck if you control Supreme ing Gate Zero. But don't try to summon this monster, because his monster effect is not Link-friendly

Key Card #2 Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm

Free monster + free Scale 0 Pendulum Card. Always give a big help to accelerate any Pendulum Deck. Also very consistent, because Darkwurm can be easily accessed by Dragon Shrine and Foolish Burial. Always use Darkwurm-plays before anything else

Key Card #3 Heavymetalfoes Electrumite

Many "dead" Pendulum deck are "resurrected" by this monster. With "search" capabilities and bonus draw always help Pendulum Deck to make a good board. Also give 2 spaces for Pendulum Summon from Extra Deck, which is really big help for Pendulum Deck.

Zefra Mythical Beast Deck Weakness

Since this deck use Pendulum Monster and some Spell Cards, anti-spell card will stop this deck combo for sure. For example Anti-Spell Fragrance and Secret Village of the Spellcaster will hurt this deck so much, because those card will prevent you for activating Spell Cards, including Pendulum Monster as Spell Card in Pendulum Zone. Card like Imperial Order can be a threat too, beacause you need to activating Pendulum Effect like Mythical Beast or Zefraath. And also don't forget about Naturia Beast, nemesis for Pendulum user.

Another Card Recommendation

Ancient Fairy Dargon can be additional level 7 Syncro for this deck, because can give you free monster, but best only if you can get 1s turn. Some effect will destroy your own card, so Astrograph Sorcerrer can also a good addition for this deck, because you'll get 2500 ATK monster for free, and also you can use him as on other material for Electrumite. And if you still remember my True King Dino Deck, this Zefra Deck also run Yazi, so Mare-mare is good form Yazi's combo. Also don't forget to bring Mistar Boy and HI-Speedroid Chanbara.
