Paleozoic Frog Deck Link Format April 2018

If you love rank 2 monster, this is the best deck for you. If you want deck that will give your opponent a hard time, this is also the best deck for you. Paleozoic and Frog has a good harmony since 2016 to fight against meta. Their ability to disrupt opponents play will break their combo so easily, even without hand trap. Paleozoic can special summoned from graveyard the you can use them for rank 2 monster. Link format doesn't really give a problem for Paleozoic Frog. With help from Nimble monster, you can still able to perform Link Summon and XYZ summon. This is it Paleozoic Frog Deck Link Format

About Paleozoic and Frog Archetype

Paleozoic is an unique archetype, because the only monster are two rank 2 monsters. The other cards are Trap. But Paleozoic Trap can special summoned as pseudo-trap monster when trap card is activated on both players field. Every Paleozoic Trap also have their own unique ability to disrupt opponents play or give you some advantage. The XYZ monster Paleozoic Anomalocalis can help you to excavate top deck and add the card if its a Trap, the other XYZ Paleozoic Opabinia can speed up Paleozoic swarm by letting you activate Paleozoic Trap straight from hand. Both of these Paleozoic XYZ monster have other effect if they have a Trap card as XYZ material.

And the Frog are archetype of Aqua WATER Monster. This archetype get support from Toad Series. Many Frog has low level and attack, but they have ability to rapid summoning. Frog and Paleozoic can make a god combo because Paleozoic pseudo-trap monster are Aqua type, which mean can be used to XYZ summon the mighty Toadally Awesome.

Paleozoic Frog Play-style

This deck won't make a big board combo. You can end up with setting all of your cards on the field, and that's not a brick. Use Paleozoic to disrupt opponents combo, and use Frog and Nimble to spam monster. Don't forget that Paleozoic can special summoned as pseudo-trap monster. Paleozoic Frog Deck Tips and Combos

Combo #1

Cards needed : Swap Frog, Nimble Angler

1. Special summon Swap Frog by discarding Nimble Angler
2. Use Swap Frog effect to send Ronintoadin from deck to graveyard
3. Use Nimble Angler effect to special summon 2 Nimble monsters from deck
4. Return Swap Frog to your hand
5. Normal summon Swap Frog then use the effect to send Dupe Frog from deck to graveyard
6. Banish Dupe Frog to special summon Ronintoadin from graveyard
7. Use both Nimble monsters to link summon Mistar Boy
8. Use Swap Frog and Ronintoadin to XYZ summon Toadally Awesome

Combo #2

Cards needed : Swap Frog, Nimble Angler, Nimble Beaver, Frog monster

1. Special summon Swap Frog by discarding Nimble Angler
2. Use Swap Frog effect to send Ronintoadin from deck to graveyard
3. Use Nimble Angler effect to special summon 2 Nimble Sunfish monsters from deck
4. Normal summon Nimble Beaver and use the effect to special summon another Nimble Beaver from deck
5. Return Swap Frog to your hand
6. Special Summon Swap Frog by discarding Frog Monster
7. Use Swap Frog effect to send Dupe Frog from deck to graveyad
8. Use two Beaver to Link summon Mistar Boy
9. Banish Frog Monster in graveyard to special summon Ronintoadin from graveyard
10. Use Swap Frog and Ronintoadin to XYZ summon Toadally Awesome
11. Use two Sunfish to XYZ summon Cat Shark
12. (or) Use two Sunfish and Mistar Boy to Link summon Borreload Dragon

Tips #1

Dupe Frog is the best card to summon with Toadally Awesome, because this card will protect your monsters from opponents first attack, also you can send this to use Toadally Awesome effect. If you have two Dupe Frog on the field, your opponent can't attack any of your monsters

Tips #2

Discard of Swap Frog and Paleozoic Dinomischus effect is not a cost, so both of these discard can trigger Nimble Angler effect. So you can use both of them to spam Nimble monster from deck

Tips #3

Nimble Sunfish is a good choice to set on field. Because if this card is destroyed by battle, you can send fish monster from deck, and Nimble Angler is a Fish monster. Which mean you can trigger Nimble Angler effect to summon 2 more Nimble monsters from deck.

Paleozoic Frog Key Cards

Key Card #1 Swap Frog

Always good with WATER monster. This card also known as "Aqua Foolish Burial". Just with Swap Frog and any other WATER monster, you'll get a Toadally Awesome. A Toadally Awesome and 3 backrow are enough to give your opponent a hard time, because on the Standby Phase Toadally Awesome will summon another frog from deck and can be used as a "cost" of Toadally effect. Swap Frog can also abuse Nimble Angler effect to spam more Nimble monsters.

Key Card #2 Nimble Angler

Spammer of the deck. Thanks to this card, Palezoic Frog can survive in Link era. Because Nimble Anger will give you material to summon a Link Monster. Or if you have a Link Monster, you can summon another Rank 2 monster to support Toadally Awesome

Key Card #3 Paleozoic Opabinia

Big help to speed up your Paleozoic play by letting you activate Paleozoic Trap from your hand. But don't summon this card unless you have Palaeozoic psedo-trap monster as material, because this card will have bonus ability to search for Paleozoic Trap from your deck

Paleozoic Frog Deck Weakness

Since more than half of the deck are Trap cards, card that negate trap like Jinzo or Royal Decree will make cut the power of this deck by half, but you can still go with Nimble Frog play. The only beatdown monster from this deck is Borreload Dragon. So if your opponents get first turn and summon many beatdown monster, you'll lose if you can't get Borreload to the board. And Dark Simorgh will make your Paleozoic Trap useless.

Another Card Recommendation

Graydle Slim Jr. is best card recommendation for this deck. This card is an Aqua type which is can be sent by Swap Frog effect. Also Graydle Slim Jr. can be used to special summon other Aqua monster from hand. Swap Frog-Graydle combo is good to keep sending more Aqua monster from deck. Gameciel is the best Kaiju for the deck. You can use Gameciel to get rid opponents annoying monster or just discard this for Swap Frog effect. Foolish Burial is also good for sending Nimble Angler or Ronintoadin. And if you want to lock Spell cards, you can use Imperial Order. You won't care because you don't use any Spell cards. If you confident to make a good board, card like Mistake is a good choise, so player can't add card from deck unless with drawing. Dimensional Barrier also not a bad card, maybe less effective in Link era but 1 copy in side deck isn't a bad ides
