TCG D/D/D/ Deck Link Format March 2018

Still becoming everyone favorite, because we can do almost all Special Summon method with D/D/D, except for Ritual Summon. Using D/D/D feels like master of Yu-Gi-Oh! because of this deck capabilities to variant of Special Summoning method to make a big combo. New rules won't give D/D/D a big problem, because Crystal Wing and Siegfried is more than enough to give your opponent a hard time. Different from my other D/D/D decks that rely on Fusion Summon and Synchro Summon. This deck will also use Pendulum Summon as a main combo. Darwurm and Gate Zero really give a big help to make this happen, plus you can Pendulum Summon level 1 monsters like Lamia or Kepler, also you can use Swirl effect to summon high level D/D monster from hand. This is it, TCG D/D/D Deck in Link Format March 2018.

A Major Problem with D/D/D in TCG

Just like we know, the powerful Fusion Monster, D/D/D Flame High King Genghis, still not released yet in TCG, and there is no info when this card will be printed in TCG. Because many duelist know about this monster power. Not only for reviving more D/D monster, but also to negate opponent Spell/Trap for safe OTK. With a high level, we can also use this to summon more powerful D/D/D monster like D/D/D Gust High King Alexander, that will give you more reviving effect plus a 6000 beatdown monster. The other problem is the Link Monster. Like we know, D/D/D works really well with Crystron Needlefiber, that will give you free lamia from deck. But just like High Genghis, Needlefiber still not released yet in TCG. And the question is : "Can we build a good D/D/D deck without those cards?"

Of course we can. D/D/D is a very flexible archetype. With a different play style, we can still make a big combo. With the help of Darkwurm, we can go for Heavymetalfoes Electruminite. And you know what Electruminite capable of, giving you free search for a Pendulum Monster plus a bonus draw. This will give you easy access to D/D Savant Thomas or D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok, which can lead you to do Pendulum Summon or to use their Pendulum effect for a bigger combo. Another good Link Monster that we use is Masterking Archfiend, can easily summoned because almost all monster in this deck are Fiend. Both of these monsters give 2 more space for monster from extra deck, which is what this deck needed. But not only that, Masterking can recover your D/D/D extra deck monster from graveyard, or if you're really lucky, you can revive them. Recovery ability is very important for D/D/D, because this deck will use so many resources from Extra Deck.

D/D/D TCG Play-style

A bit different from last D/D/D deck. This deck has 2 major Play-Style. The first one is from using Pendulum cards, and you know what to do next : summon Electruminite. If you can summon Electruminite without using Pendulum Summon, you can make a big combo. The other style is by using Swirl Slime and Lamia effect. Together with Ragnarok and Necro Slime, you'll make Masterking that will give you two more space for Crystal Wing and Siegfried, which mean 1 negation for monster and 1 negation for Spell/Trap. Or you can go for Crystal Wing and Hope Harbringer instead, which mean 1 negation for monster and 1 negation for Spell, plus protecting your Link Monster from attack by redirecting the attack to Hope Harbringer. Combo #1

Cards needed : Dragon Shrine, D/D Lamia, D/D Savant Kepler

1. Activate Dragon Shrine to send Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from deck to graveyard
2. With no monster on your field, special summon Darkwurm from graveyard, then use the effect to add Supreme King Gate Zero from deck to your hand
3. Normal summon D/D Savant Kepler, then use the effect to add Dark Contract with the Gate
4. Activate Dark Contract and use the effect to add D/D Savant Copernicus from deck to your hand
5. Use Darkwurm and Kepler to Link Summon Heavymetalfoes Electruminite
6. Use Electruminite effect to add D/D Savant Thomas from deck to extra deck in face-up position
7. Place Corpenus in Pendulum Zone
8. Use Electrum other effect to destroy Corpenus, then add Thomas from face-up extra dek to your hand

1. Activate Dark Contract with the Gate then use the effect to search the missing piece
2. Place D/D/D Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok on Pendulum Zone
3. With D/D Swirl Slime effect, fusion summon D/D/D Flame King Genghis, using with D/D Necro Slime and Swirl Slime in hand as material
4. Normal summon D/D Lamia
5. Use Lamia and Genghis to synchro summon D/D/D Gust Kng Alexander
6. This will trigger Ragnarok effect, special summon Genghis from graveyard
7. This will trigger Alexander effect, special summon Lamia from graveyard
8. Use Alexander and Lamia to link summon Masterking Archfiend

Tips #1

Always remember the only fusion monster that can be summoned through D/D Vice Typhon is only D/D/D Dragonbane King Beowulf. So don't send this card to gaveyard if you don't have D/D/D monster in your graveyard. Also Vice Typhon is good material for D/D/D Cursed King Siegfried.

Tips #2

Always remember that D/D Savant Kepler Pendulum Scale will decreased by two in each of your Standby Phase. So if you use Kepler for Pendulum Summon, try to get rid of it from pendulum scale, for example with D/D Savant Thomas monster effect or with Electruminite effect. Unless you want your level 8 monsters destroyed on your next turn.

Tips #3

Masterking Archfiend is a good link monster to open more space for more extra deck monsters. But that's not the only purpose to use this link monster. With Masterking effect, you can recover your extra deck Fiend monsters, or if you're very lucky, you can revive one of them. Extra deck recovery is one thing that this deck need. Because if you somehow can't win the duel in your first combo, you can still make a good combo next turn.

TCG D/D/D Key Cards

Key Card #1 D/D Lamia

Even without Needlefiber, Lamia still become the heart of the deck. With the help of Genghis and Alexander, you can still summon Lami over and over, and use Lamia to make a big combo. So this is the card that needed in hand quickly. Or just send lamia to graveyard with Foolish Burial or Copernicus effect.

Key Card #2 D/D Savant Kepler

A very important card for searching the Dark Contract, usually the Gate. Also with Darkwurm, you can go for Electruminite, which is will give you free pendulum monster plus bonus draw if you have another pendulum monster in your hand. Also with Gate Zero, you can pendulum summon Kepler now, which mean more material for link summon, or for a rare case, synchro summon

Key Card #3 D/D/D Flame King Genghis

Fusion monster that you will summon in most combo. Don't be afraid to use Genghis for Link material, because you can still revive him with Ragnarok. Also, don't Genghis effect to quickly, because sometimes you need to revive other big D/D instead of Lamia. Yes, Genghis is far weaker than his OCG brother D/D/D Flame High King Genghis, and also you'll only use Genghis for his effect or just using him as Link or Synchro material. But the truth is you can't make a big combo without summoning this card.

TCG D/D/D Deck Weakness

Since this deck use pendulum monster and continuous spell, anti-spell card will stop this deck combo for sure. For example Anti-Spell Fragrance and Secret Village of the Spellcaster will hurt this deck so much, because those card will prevent you fo activating Spell Cards. Card like Imperial Order, can be a threat too. Unless you have two pendulum monster for pendulum summon, you can't do anything. All basic combo needs you to search card from deck, if your opponent has Ash Blossom, you'll end with weaker board, that's why this deck has draw engine like Allure of Darkness and Pot of Desires. But the main problem is the extra deck. With only 15 space, all of those monsters are matter. So if you want to replace some of them, make sure you can easily summon them.

Another Card Recommendation

This deck rely on some level 1 monster like Lamia, Kepler, and Necro Slime to make a big combo, so card for searching level 1 monster like Where Arf Thou? is not a bad idea. Since this deck run a Electruminite, another pendulum monster that can be special summoned like Abyss Actor - Curtain Raiser can be added, with this card and Dragon Shrine in your hand, you can link summon Electruminite without using a Normal summon. If you want open more space for extra monste zone, you can use Decode Talker instead of Zefra Metaltron, because Decode Talker only need effect monster, easier to summon. If you can free more space for link 4 monster, you can add Sayruja Sull Dread or Borreload Dragon. Also if you don't like Sylvan Pincessprite gamble effect. you can use Lyrilusc - Recital Starling, and use the effect to add the hand trap D.D. Crow.
