Dinosaur-Shaddoll Deck Link Format March 2018

Now I'm back with another Dinosaur-themed deck. And now I'l try to combine Dinosaur with the famous Shaddoll. With the release of Overtex Coalts, we can use this card and a Shaddoll monster to Fusion Summon El Shaddoll Winda, since Overtex Coalts is a Dark Monster. This will trigger Shaddoll monster, also we can get free Double Evolution Pill from Overtex Coalts effect, which mean we'll get a free Ultimate Conductor Tyranno. With just Shaddoll Fusion, we can get a semi-lockdown board with Winda and Conductor Tyranno. Imagine what we can get if we have a good hand. About Shaddoll Archetype

Since I've wrote about Dinosaur in other article. Now I'll tell you about the famous Shaddoll. Shaddoll (シャドール Shadooru) is an archetype of Dark Main Deck Monster that debuted on 2014 in Duelist Alliance Booster Pack. There are two types of Shaddoll, the flip monster Shaddoll and the pendulum monster Shaddoll. The each flip monster has two effects, the effect when the card is flipped and the effect when sent to graveyard by card effect (not as a cost). Although each monsters has two effects, but we can only use each monster's effect once per turn. Shaddoll also has two pendulum monsters, and both of these monsters also a member of Zefra archetype. Don't have any special pendulum effect, just preventing pendulum summon another archetype but Shaddoll and Zefra, and the monster effects are more Zefra related.

Shaddoll has several Fusion Monsters called El Shaddoll. There are six El Shaddoll monsters, and each has their own unique attribute. The El Shaddoll monsters follow a pattern of requiring "1 "Shaddoll" monster + 1 [corresponding Attribute] monster" as Fusion Materials. These monsters are very easy to summon because we can use material from deck if opponents has a monster that summoned from Extra Deck, which is very common in this era. With unique shared-attribute fusion monster, Shaddoll usually played with other archetype or engine. Previously, Shaddoll were run with Light engine (like Lightsworn) to summon El Shaddoll Construct (but now this card is banned). Nowadays, Shaddoll can be played together with Railway series or another Earth series for El Shaddoll Shekhinaga, or with Prediction Princess for Flip Monster support, or even make a good Invoked Fusion deck. And now we can also combine this with Dinosaur, since Dinosaur has monster with various attribute, giving us option to bring more El Shaddoll.

Dinosaurs-Shaddoll Play-style

This deck works fine even if you go first or second. If you going first, you can focus on summoning Ultimate Conducting Tyranno (and a El Shaddoll Winda if possible), because Tyranno itself is enough to make your opponent surrender. And if you going second, this deck can give you more powerful board if you have Shaddoll Fusion in your hand. Since people now often special summon from extra deck, you can use Shaddoll Fusion to send a Shaddoll and other monster that needed for your combo, such as Overtex Qualts, Giant Rex, or Miscellaneousaurus. Dinosaurs-Shaddoll Deck Tips and Combos

Combo #1

Cards needed : Armageddon Knight, Overtex Qualts, Shaddoll Fusion

1. Normal Summon Armageddon Knight
2. Use Armageddon Knight's effect to send Shaddoll Hedgehog from deck to graveyard
3. This will trigger Hedgehog's effect, add any Shaddoll monster from deck to your hand
4. Use Shaddol Fusion, fusion summon El Shaddoll Winda using Overtex Qualts and Shaddoll Monster in your hand
5. This will trigger Overtex's effect, add Double Evolution Pill from your deck to your hand
6. Activate Double Evolution Pill, banish Overtex and one Shaddoll monster from graveyard to special summon Ultimate Conductor Tyranno from deck

Combo #2

Cards needed : Predaplant Ophyrs Scorpio, Overtex Qualts, any Shaddoll Monster, any monster

1. Normal summon Predaplant Ophyrs Scorpio, then use its effect to send Monster cards from hand to graveyard, to special summon Predaplant Darlingtopia Cobra from deck
2. Use Darlingtopia's effect to add Shaddoll Fusion
3. Use Darlingtopia and Ophyrs Scorpio to Link Summon Underclock Taker 
4. Use Shaddol Fusion, fusion summon El Shaddoll Winda using Overtex Qualts and Shaddoll Monster in your hand
5. This will trigger Overtex's effect, add Double Evolution Pill from your deck to your hand
6. Activate Double Evolution Pill, banish Overtex and one Shaddoll monster from graveyard to special summon Ultimate Conductor Tyranno from deck

Tips #1

Always remember sending card with Predaplant Ophyrs Scorpio's effect is counted as a cost, so this won't trigger Overtex Qualts effect or any Shaddoll monster effect in the proccess. But still a good card to add free Shaddoll Fusion or to become material for Link Summon.

Tips #2

If you successfully summon El Shaddoll Winda, you can set El Shaddoll Fusion if you have another material in your had or field. And you can fusion more powerful El Shaddoll fusion monster in your opponent's turn plus you can get back your Shaddoll Fusion. Or you can set Mask Change II to change Winda with Masked HERO Dark Law.

Tips #3

Don't Fusion Summon El Shaddoll Winda too early. Try to summon Winda at near end of your combo, because Winda effect is affecting both palyers, so you can only special summon once after summoning Winda. But before that, you can still special summon as much as you can.

Tips #4

Beside Ultimate Conductor, Overtex Qualts is another best option for Double Evolution Pill effect. While Ultimate Conductor Tyranno can disrupt opponent's monsters, Overtex Qualts can disrupt opponent's Spell/Trap.

Weakness

This deck really needs graveyard to win, so effect that will banish card will hurt this deck so much. Be aware of Dimensional Fissure, Macro Cosmos, or Masked Hero Dark Law. A mirror match won't be a problem if you go first and summon your Ultimate Conductor Tyranno quickly, but if opponent can summon their Tyranno first, you'll lose the duel unless you draw the kaiju. This deck rely on using monster from deck, so Ash Blossom will be a major problem for this deck (actually for major deck these days)

Another Card Recommendation

The mighty Foolish Burial always a good choice for this kind of deck, you can easily send Overtex or any Shaddoll to get their effect. And since this is a 60 cards deck, the cards set that I called "Curious Pack". The cards set are : Brilliant Fusion, Gem-Knight monster, Performage Trick Clown, Heroic Challenge - Thousand Blades, Lonefire Blossom, M-X-Saber Invoker, Missus Radiant, and Curious, Dominion of the Lightsworn. With this cards set, you have option play when using Predaplant Ophyrs Scorpio. For dealing with the annoying Bagooska, you can use Shaddoll Hound to change Bagooska battle position, easy to access with Shaddoll Fusion. And for YGOPro player you can also add Quintet Magician along with a playset of Future Fusion. Since all Shaddoll that we use are Spellcaster monster, just imagine activating 5 Shaddoll effect in one turn.
