Utopic ZEXAL Igknight Link Format Deck Profile February 2018

Remember Utopic ZEXAL Igknight Lock by Hanko Chow? Very amazing deck! Forcing opponent to do old school Yu-Gi-Oh!, preventing them to activating any effect, even if Utopic ZEXAL is not on the field anymore. But with the new master rule, Utopic Igknight lose its "power", because that deck need 2 spaces for extra monster zone, and we can't freely pendulum summon from extra deck anymore. But with new cards (not released yet in TCG), this deck will make anyone frustrating. Cards like Heavymetalfoes Electrum, Rescue Hamster, and Pendulum Paradox help a lot to summon the  mighty Number S0 : Utopic ZEXAL. Here we go : Utopic Igknight Lock Deck Link Format.

About Igknight Archetype

Igknight is an archetype of all Fire Warrior Type monster, they get their name from the pun of ignite and knight. In TCG they named after medieval military positions. Most of Igknight are Normal Pendulum monster, with a Pendulum Scale of either 2 (Gallant, Cavalier, Crusader, and Paladin) or 7 (Templar, Squire, Veteran, and Margrave). They don't have monster effect but have similar Pendulum effect : "If you have an "Igknight" card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can destroy all cards in your Pendulum Zones, and if you do, add 1 FIRE Warrior-Type monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand". Very useful to search Igknight monster from deck then do a mass Pendulum Summon. This archetype also has Effect Monster : Lancer and Champion.

Utopic ZEXAL Igknight Play-style

Actually, there is so many ways to do Utopic ZEXAL Igknight combo. The main goal is summoning Electrum along with two level 4 and two level 6 monsters, using two level 6 for beatrice then send rank-up-magic to graveyard. Using her to XYZ summon Gaia then adding rank-up-magic to your hand. And finally BOOM, use two level 4 and rank-up-magic for the mighty Utopic ZEXAL, then you can see rage quit from your opponent. You can see my video about Utopic ZEXAL Igknight here.

Utopic ZEXAL Igknight Deck Tips and Combos

Combo

Cards needed : Rescue Hamster, Pendulum Paradox, level 4 and 6 Igknight with same Pendulum scale

1. Set both Igknight monster to Pendulum Cards Zone
2. Use Igknight's pendulum effect to themself, then add one level 6 Igknight with different Pendulum Scale
3. Use Darklord Contract to special summon Superbia from graveyard, then use Superbia's effect to revive Ixchel
4. Normal summon Rescue Hamter
5. Use Rescue Hamter's effect to special summon two level 4 Igknight monsters that has same name with Igknight monster in Extra Deck
6. Use both level 4 Igknight monsters to Link Summon Heavymetalfoes Electrum
7. Use Electrum's effect to add Level 6 Igknight from Deck to Extra Deck
8. Use Pendulum Paradox to add Level 4 and Level 6 Igknight with same Pendulum Scale, from Extra eck to your hand
9. Set Level 4 Igknight monster to Pendulum Cards Zone
10. Use Electrum's effect to destroy Igknight monster in Pendulum Card Zone, then add Rescue Hamter from Extra Deck to your hand (you'll also get bonus draw with Electrum's effect)
11. Set Rescue Hamter to Pendulum Cards Zone
12. Set Rescue Hamter to add two level 4 Igknight monsters with same name, from Extra Deck to your hand
13. Set two Igknight monster with different Pendulum Scale to Pendulum Cards Zone
14. Pendulum summon two level 4 Igknight and two level 6 Igknight from hand and Extra Deck
15. Overlay both level 6 Igknight to XYZ summon Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal
16. Use Beatrice's effect to send Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force from deck to graveyard.
17. Overlay to XYZ summon Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger, this will trigger Argent Chaos Force's effect then add this card from graveyard to your hand
18. Overlay both level 4 Igknight to XYZ summon Number 39 : Utopia, then use Utopia to XYZ summon Number S39 : Utopia Prime
19. Finally, by discarding Argent Chaos Force and using Utopia Prime as material, XYZ summon Number S0 : Utopia ZEXAL

Tips #1

With same combo, you can summon Number 39 : Utopia Beyond and Number S39 : Utopia the Lightning instead if you go second. If your opponent only has attack position monster, you can give massive 8000 damage with these monster, OTK for sure

Tips #2

Astrograph Sorcerrer is also a good choice for first effect. Then if you use second effect to destroy  Igknight card and adding Astrograph Sorcerrer from Extra Deck to your hand, you'll get Astrograph Sorcerrer in your field, bonus Igknight monster in your hand, and bonus draw

Tips #3

Don't use Pendulum Summon before summoning Heavymetalfoes Electrum, because you'll end your turn with no Number S0 : Utopia ZEXAL. Except you can summon 5 monsters at once.

Utopic ZEXAL Igknight Key Cards

Key Card #1 The Igknights

All Igknights are important, even the Level 5 one. You need at least two Igknight monster in your hand to make a good combo. Because all Igknight are Warrior Normal Monster, many card like Unexpected Dai, Reinforcement of the Army, and Summoner's Art will give easy access to them. Having them in your hand is more important than having them in Extra Deck. So card like Rescue Hamster and Pendulum Paradox will help you recover them to your hand, then you can do mass Pendulum Summon.

Key Card #2 Heavymetalfoes Electrum

All-purpose Link Monster for pendulum card like Igknight. Easy to summon and has a good recycle effect. Also this monster give the most important thing for Utopic ZEXAL : Two Extra Monster Zone. Summon this monster as soon as possible.

Key Card #3 Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal

Why using Burning Abyss card in Utopic ZEXAL Igknight deck? This card is the reason why we only need one Rank-Up-Magic and why we using Argent Chaos Force. Because of Beatrice, we can more space for more important card

Utopic ZEXAL Igknight Weakness

Like any pendulum card based deck, Anti-Spell Fragrance and Secret Village of the Spellcasters are two example that make this deck no more than a garbage. Be careful with Effect Veiler, that card can prevent Beatrice to send Argent Chaos Force to graveyard, which mean no Utopia ZEXAL. This deck also works best if you go first, so if you go second, this deck will be vulnerable.

Another Card Recommendation

Another Utopia is a good idea, just in case your opponent able to get rid your Number S0 : Utopia ZEXAL. You can go for Number S39 : Utopia the Lightning then. Trap Stun is a good replacement for Twin Twister. Remember that you can only use Utopia ZEXAL's effect in your opponent turn, so you still vulnerable with opponent back-row in your own turn. Denko Sekka also a good option for preventing your opponent to activate their back-row.
