True Draco Stun Deck May 2018

Finally Master Peace is forbidden in TCG, but Konami release Dinomight to one and Ignis eat to three. Don't forget we still have Dragonic Diagram at three, so this isn't an end for True Draco. With help from several Monarch cards, True Draco can make a good stun deck, an anti-meta deck that can stop your opponent from summoning monster from Extra Deck or lock their monster effect. So here we go : True Draco Stun Deck May 2018.

About True Draco Archetype

True Draco is an archetype of Wyrm high level monster that also can use any Continuous Spell and Continuous Trap as tribute. Level 5 and 6 True Draco has ability that triggered when opponent activating card or effect. All off these effect makes the deck comes faster. Their double boss monster has ability to unaffected by type of cards that used as Tribute, making them easiest unaffected monsters that can be summoned. That's why now Master Peace is Forbidden. They also have their unique Continuous Spell and Continuous Trap that have some similar effects. Both Continuous Spell will give you 2 bonus Tribute Summon and would destroy Spell/Trap if sent to Graveyard. Both Continuous Trap will give you 2 bonus Tribute Summon on your opponent's Main Phase, and would destroy monster on the Field if sent to Graveyard. So even though True Draco use Tribute Summon, we can still swarm the Field, even in opponent's turn.

True Draco Stun Play-style

This deck is very simple and fun to play. Just use the draw power like Pot of Desires, Card of Demise, and Pot of Duality to get as many True Draco cards as possible. You'll don't care about Card of Demise and Pot of Duality negative effect, because you'll only use Tribute Summon, except when using True King's Return. Just Summon True Draco Monster and activate Domain of True Monarch to prevent opponent from summoning monsters from Extra Deck, or set The Monarchs Erupt to stop every monster's effect on Field except Tribute Summoned monsters, which is your True Dracos. True Draco Stun Deck Tips and Combos

Tips #1

If you want to destroy True Draco's Continuous Spell or Continuous Trap with Diagonic Diagram effect, place them on Spell/Trap Zone first so you can get their ability to destroy monster or Spell/Trap. This can also help you get more draw from True Draco Heritage.

Tips #2

If you have multiple True Draco tribute summoned monster on the Field, you only can use one of their effect if your opponent activate card or effect, because True Draco's effect are Trigger effect. So choose wisely.

Tips #3

If your opponent activate effect or card when you have True Draco monster and a face-up True Draco Continuous Trap, always acitave True Draco monster effect first, because trigger effect is Speed Spell 1, and all Trap Card effect (except Counter Trap of course) are Speed Spell 2. Also do this if you have a Set Trap on your Field.

Tips #4

If your opponent want to get rid 1 of your True Draco monster when you have a True Draco Continuous Trap and another True Draco monster on your hand, just activate True Draco Continuous Trap effect to immediately Tribute your True Draco monster to summon another True Draco from your hand. So your opponent's effect will miss their target. But don't do this if your opponent activate a mass removal effect like Raigeki and friends.

True Draco Stun Key Cards

Key Card #1 Dragonic Diagram

The reason why True Draco still playable after Master Peace become forbidden. With just destroying any card from field or hand, you can get free True Draco monster, Continuous Spell, or Continuous Trap. So even Dinomight and True King's Return still limited, you can easily access them with this Field Spell. Also very searchable through Terraforming. It's feels like having 6 copies of this card.

Key Card #2 Dinomight Knight, the True Dracofighter

The current boss monster of True Draco. What makes this monster good isn't his ATK points, but his effect that can activate True Draco Continuous Trap card directly from Deck! One important piece to makes True Draco more powerful. Searchable via Dragonic Diagram and Majesty Maiden. So even Dinomight is limited, you'll often summon this monster.

Key Card #3 Majesty Maiden, the True Dracocaster

Another searcher of True Draco. But unlike Dragonic Diagram, Majesty Maiden can only search for True Draco monster. But this is still helpful to search for the current boss monster : Dinomight Knight. With True Draco Continuous Trap Card, you can also immediately summon the boss monster

True Draco Stun Deck Weakness

Just like you see, this deck don't have any defense or immediate disruption if you go second, so you can troubled if you go second and your opponent can make a strong board, except you have Stormforth to break their key monster. And without Master Peace, True Draco only have 2500 beater monster with no quick effect to disrupt or any built-in protection, and Diagonic Diagram only boost fro 300 ATK. So if opponent have monster with more than 2800 ATK, you can only hope for Stormforth or True Draco Continuous Trap. But if their monster somehow unaffected by some card effect, like new Blackwing Monster Blackwing Fullarmor master or Apoqliphort Tower, this deck has nothing to face them. This new True Draco also powerless against Monarch, because Monarch monster are unaffected by two stun card that True Draco use.

Another Card Recommendation

Ash Blossom, Ghost Ogre, and other hand traps can help you when go second. If you want more search engine you can add Mariamne the True Dracophoenix, by destroying her with Dragonic Diagram you can get 1 True Draco card from Diagram's effect plus 1 True Draco monster from Mariamne's effect. But don't add her too much, 2 copies max. And to quickly access her you can also use Dreiath III the True Dracocavalry General. And because no True Draco monster that has built-in protection, you can use March of the Monarchs as protection. Also to face some big ATK monster you can add Solidarity to boost your True Draco monsters for more 800 ATK, just remember try not to send Amano-Iwato to Graveyard if you use that card.
