Cyber Dragon Deck Link Format November 2017

Cyber Dragon get many support at 2015 in OCG, and released in TCG at 2016. Monster like Cyber Dragon Nova and Cyber Dragon Infinity became new trend among Cyber Dragon user, along with new Fusion Monster Chimeratech Rampage Dragon. This archetype become more powerful with Cyber Dragon's new substitute : Cyber Dragon Zwei, Cyber Dragon Drei and Cyber Dragon Core.

About Cyber and Chimeratech Archetype

Cyber archetype is all Light Machine type monsters. Cyber Dragon main ability is to special summon itself when the controller don't have any monster and opponent has one. With other lower level Cyber monster that can counted as Cyber Dragon giving easier access to more powerful Cyber Fusion Monster and Cyber XYZ Monster.

Cyber archetype has a relation with Chimeratech archetype, all Dark Machine type Fusion monsters. Chimeratech listed Cyber Dragon as one of their Fusion Material, and has effect that depends of he number of monsters used for its Fusion Summon.

Cyber Dragon Play-style

This deck strategy is focusing on summoning Cyber Dragon as soon as possible. Along with other subtitute Cyber Dragon, giving access to Cyber and Chimeratech Extra Monster. Cyber Dragon Deck Tips and Combos

Combo #1

Cards needed : Cyber Dragon Core, Machine Dupplication, Cyber Dragon, one monster on opponents field

First special summon Cyber Dragon. Then normal summon Cyber Dragon Core and activate Machine Dupplication to special summon 2 Cyber Dragon from deck. Use Cyber Dragon Core and one Cyber Dragon to Link Summon Qliphort Genius. Then use both Cyber Dragon to XYZ Summon Cyber Dragon Nova. Use Cyber Dragon Nova's effect to special summon one Cyber Dragon from graveyard. Use Cyber Dragon Nova as XYZ material to XYZ Summon Cyber Dragon Infinity. Finnaly, you can use Cyber Dragon Infinity's effect to attach enemy attack position monster to this monster.

Combo #2

Cards needed : Foolish Burial, Instant Fusion, one monster on opponents field

Activate Foolish Burial to send Cyber Dragon Core from deck to graveyard. Banish Cyber Dragon Core from graveyard to special summon Cyber Dragon from deck. Activate Instant Fusion to special summon Panzer Dragon, then use both of them to XYZ Summon Cyber Dragon Nova. Use Cyber Dragon Nova as XYZ material to XYZ Summon Cyber Dragon Infinity. You can use Cyber Dragon Infinity's effect to attach enemy attack position monster to this monster.

Tips #1

If your opponent has a strong monster, tribute it to special summon Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju. Special summon Cyber Dragon and use both of monsters to Fusion Summon Chimeratech Fortress Dragon. You can also use Cyber Dragon Drei or Cyber Dragon Core to do this.

Tips #2

If your opponent has a strong monster in Extra Monster Zone, special summon Cyber Dragon. Use both of monsters to Fusion Summon Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon. You can also use Cyber Dragon Drei or Cyber Dragon Core to do this.

Cyber Dragon Deck Key Cards

Key Card #1 Cyber Dragon

Together with its subtitute (Cyber Dragon Drei and Cyber Dragon Core), you have 8 Cyber Dragons in this deck. Giving easier access to stronger Cyber XYZ monster or Chimeratech Fusion Monster. Can also used to getting rid of opponent's monster.

Key Card #2 Cyber Dragon Infinity

Strongest Cyber in this deck, also easy to summon with help of Galaxy Soldier and Panzer Dragon. Has ability to negate effect and stealing one attack position monster. With light attribute, works fine with Honest.

Key Card #3 Chimeratech Rampage Dragon

Works best with Power Bond. With 4200 and up to three attack each Battle Phase, you can do OTK with this card. Don't forget that this card will destroy minimum 2 Spell/Traps when fusion summoned. Can be special summoned with Power Bond or Overload Fusion.

Cyber Dragon Weakness

This deck works best if you go second. So if you go first, you will end with poor field. And this deck don't really has good defense, so your field will open to a heavy attack. Also this deck works poorly if your opponents rarely summon a monster, because you can't use Cyber Dragon effect to summon itself. For more competitive format, you can use invoked version of Cyber Dragon

Another Card Recommendation

Since you have so many Light Machine type monsters, Cyber Eltanin is good for this deck. With Cyber Eltanin you can get rid enemy monsters (also your other monster), and this is non-targeting effect. Also you can add Cyber Valley, so you can survive your first turn. If you plan to use multiple Extra Monster card, you can use Link-spammer card like Scapegoat, Gofu, or Grinder Golem. But you can't use Cyber Dragon effect to special summon itself. If you think your opponent will destroy your Cyber Dragon Nova, you can add Cyber End Dragon or Mechaba to your Extra Deck, so you can special summon one of them if your Cyber Dragon Nova is destroyed. And if you think 2 Cyber Dragon Nova and Cyber Dragon Infinity are too much, you can replace them with other Rank 5 XYZ monster like Constellar Pleiades or Tiras, Keeper of Genesis.
